photo challenge week 41: listen

Another photo from the archives.

When I saw the word, I immediately thought of this photo. It was taken at a local park early this year.

The swans were swimming through thinly iced water, crushing it with their beaks. As they were going through it, it made the strangest, high-pitched noise. Very different – I don’t even know how to explain it!

Anyway, enjoy!

Week 41 LISTEN

11 weeks to go in the photo challenge!

photo challenge week 35: peace

I know, I know… I’m late! I’m sorry. But you know what they say – better late than never?

I’ve been sewing, mostly! And getting ready for work – I have pupils starting tomorrow… Crazy!!!

Anyway… Peace… This was my peace this summer:

Week 35 PEACE

Love it!

Have a feeling I won’t be feeling peace any more tomorrow by 9:00 tomorrow!

photo challenge week 33: clean

This was a hard picture to think of again! I certainly couldn’t take a picture of my house at the moment… 😦

Here’s what I’ve gone with:

Week 33 CLEAN

I am forever cleaning my glasses. Dirty glasses drive me absolutely batty, and in fact, I am judgemental enough that if your glasses are dirty, I’ve noticed and have wanted to clean them for you. Yup, I’m irritating like that.

Looking forward to seeing what is clean in your world! And don’t forget, you can still join us!

photo challenge week 29: black

One day to go! Boy, how I miss the Canadian summer holidays! I’d have been done for like a month now!

As of tomorrow, I’m done for another year – maybe I’ll write a bit about being a teacher sometime this summer. When my brain is working again.

I will be around more in the next little while. But for now, you’ll have to put up with just my photo for the week.

But I’m hoping to do lots of exciting crafting and photography over the summer! YAY!!

Here is my version of black:

Week 29 BLACK

Looking forward to seeing yours, and I’ll do a mega round-up shortly!

photo challenge week 23: green

Easy one this week. Although I kind of think I didn’t plan very well, fresh last week, green this week and bloom next? Sounds like a lot of nature pics – not that it’s ever a bad thing to have natural pics – they’re my favourite!

Here my green! How many shades can you count? 😉

Week 23 GREEN

Look forward to seeing your greens! Remember, you can still join the challenge!

photo challenge week 22: fresh

So first let me say sorry for ignoring you all! I’ve been a bad host…

You see, I’ve been on half-term. And I was a bit lazy about blogging in the lead up to the break, assuming that I would have stacks of time to block…  But… there were reports. And there was a garden that I’ve been ignoring. And other school work, and various other things.

But I’ll tell you what I’ve done. To make it up to all you wonderful people, I’ve already written a photo round-up for the last two weeks (middle and wisdom), which will go live tomorrow afternoon. And I’m going to write about my niece’s other birthday present (the portable playmat went over brilliantly) later in the week as well.

Anyhow, without further adieu… Fresh.

To me, nothing is so fresh as the smell outside in the summertime. Flowers and perfume and wonderful! Amazing and wonderful! Here’s my flower for this week! I love the colours:

Week 22 FRESHI look forward to your photos, and remember, it’s never too late to join us!
